The Discretionary Technical
Portfolio is managed entirely at Fred's discretion -- using
all his technical indicators and his own investment and
trading judgment, applied across a broad array of asset
classes represented by exchange traded funds (ETFs).
Sometimes trades in this portfolio reflect in a general way
what Fred is doing for his own account and for accounts he
manages, at other times it will reflect ideas that are
just for Fred's online subscribers. |
The Technical Trading Model
Portfolio automatically follows the buy signals and sell
signals of Fred's Technical Trading Model, based on his
Summary Index and Quick Summary Index. The
Portfolio exclusively trades the S&P 500 Depository
Receipts, or Spiders (SPY), to represent positions
in the S&P 500 Index. Sometimes the portfolio will be entirely
in cash -- at other times, it can be as much as 200% long or 200%
short.

Portfolio "Q" automatically follows the buy signals and sell
signals of Fred's Technical Trading Model, based on his
Summary Index and Quick Summary Index. The
Portfolio exclusively trades the NASDAQ 100 Trust (QQQQ)
to represent positions in the NASDAQ 100 Index. Sometimes the
portfolio will be entirely in cash -- at other times, it can be
as much as 200% long or 200% short.

The Goodman Price/Volume
Stock Selection System -- "GPS"
-- guides a portfolio that actively trades individual
stocks. Stocks are selected from among the blue chips
that make up the S&P 100 Index, and from
among the more aggressive stocks that make up the NASDAQ
100. The Discretionary GPS Portfolio takes
positions in both, and uses ETFs to hedge based on Fred's
market timing signals.
